July 1st, 2010The Gary went up to chicago for a lil tour and spent 2 days recording at Electrical Audio with Steve Albini. Vinyl release should be coming out later in the fall.

February 3rd, 2010It’s a rare occasion when these two bands play together. The occasion? The CD Release of The Gary’s Logan. It’s at The Scoot Inn, 1308 E. 4th Street. Also on the bill are The Midgetmen and Scan Hopper.
Machete & The Gary will also be playing day parties during SXSW, and The Gary will be doing a midwestern tour in June. Stay tuned for details.

January 17th, 2010The Gary “Logan” LP & Southwestern U.S. Shows
October 6th, 2009Logan, the new LP by The Gary, will be out in mid-November. Word on the street says they’ll be playing a handful of shows in West Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona in December, and will wrap it up with an Austin show at Stubb’s.
Upon questioning the band on their album title, we learned that Logan is the name of Gary Doyle O’Banien’s (The Gary’s namesake) step-brother. Logan was recorded at East Austin’s Hot Tracks and Ohm Studios with Matt Smith & Chico Jones, and will be passing through your earholes soon.
